Meet Srishti Lama Tamang, an Intrepid leader defying gender norms and empowering other women in Nepal’s Annapurna ranges. Although Nepalese girls are traditionally raised to work in the home, Srishti Lama Tamang became a porter, despite friends and family doubting her capabilities. She is now one of Intrepid’s leading guides. “It’s important for me to bring others along this journey of strength and empowerment. I want to change the way my family, society and country think. I’m really proud that one of my sisters is a leader, and the other is an assistant guide, well on her way.
