My dad has always collected them and I took interest in collecting myself when I was a kid.. I never really outgrew playing with them so as I got older I just became secretive about it.
Well, today I was playing with them in my room with the door cracked and I guess I was too into it to notice that my dad had been standing there for like a full 5 MINUTES. When he finally said something he just laughed hysterically and followed it up with a comment that really hurt my self esteem, he said “gah you really are a nerd, no wonder you haven’t had a girlfriend” he doesn’t know that I really struggle socially so I’m not trying to take it to heart, but damn.. I’m really down in the dumps about it. Time to throw in the towel?
