[ad_1] Machines cannot experience emotions. But many of us believe machines are examples of man’s ability to create order from chaos. Should we be on the side of chaos or emotionless machines? Science is separated into various disciplines such as physics, chemistry and biology. But these are not fundamental; they cannot lead us away from a state of chaos, although we are brainwashed at school into believing they can. If they represented fundamental parts of the universe, they would exhibit common characteristics, like an organic species mutating into different species over the passage of time, but retaining common characteristics. What characteristics are common to physics, chemistry and biology? Mathematics is not one of them. This subject may be useful for describing certain aspects of physics, but not chemistry or biology. Nor can the ideas called gravity, particles, and mass be fundamental; they cannot even be defined in physical terms. They are no more than constructs of fertile imaginations. This work shows that the universe is not fundamentally chaotic, but is full of meaning. For example, several millennia ago mankind knew that the harmonious vibrations of inanimate strings on musical instruments could stir or pacify one’s emotions. Do musical machines lead us out of a chaotic universe, or do they lead us into a harmonious universe?
